At USGN, we are most concerned with finding homes for gliders that need to be rescued. THIS IS OUR NUMBER ONE CONCERN. As we continue our work to save unwanted and neglected gliders, we are constantly striving to find responsible, loving homes for these gliders. We have begun work with much of the glider community to focus rescues through USGN and its resources to save as many gliders as possible.
It is of UTMOST IMPORTANCE to understand that rescues are just that-rescues. They are not to be bred, sold or traded. It is the policy of USGN that all male rescues placed through our adoption process be neutered and all rescuers have the resources to neuter all male rescues. This is not something that is negotiable. As a rescue network, it is our responsibility to reduce the number of unwanted sugar gliders.
There is a special part of our Information Center that is dedicated to rescuers and rescues. If you know of a glider that needs to be rescued, please post in that forum. If you want to rescue a glider, please contact us so that we may determine your eligibility to rescue.

Please fill out a Rescue Application if you are in the position to help! There is a general knowledge test, as well as some additional information we will need, so contact us today! Soon we will have a place to let us know about a needed rescue and information regarding how to become USGN Certified as a rescuer! In the meantime, please contact us with any questions!
